If you don't want, or don't have time, to embrace the mountains Andorra has to offer then definitely check out routes like these. The Rec del Solá Trail, which translates as sunny slope canal trail, runs the length of the city offering some very pleasing views below. Once you've scaled the stone steps from the city to the route it's an easy, flat, paved balcony path dotted with benches and wild fruit bushes. Along it is a man-made irrigation canal used to carry water between the orchards and vegetable gardens. The entire route covers eight kilometres from start to finish allowing walkers a chance to head back down at various points to shorten the route.
