Přehrada Harcov
Harcov Reservoir, Liberec, is a recreational hub for citizens of the town, throughout the year. Locals don't really frequent the place as much as it deserves, owing to the abundance of countryside in all directions.
To the west you can see the Ještěd-Kozákov Ridge, and on it; Ještěd Tower. It protrudes from the top of the ridge like a religious icon or statue. Vistas to the east are equally as inviting. As you stand on the dike, studded by pretty, red tiled turrets, the views to the beginning of the Jizera Mountians beckon.
The reservoir is not large; 12 hectares to be exact and can be circumnavigated in less than an hour. Unlike the reservoir in neighboring Jablonec, the body of water is caked in forest, walking trials and chocolate box villas.
