I never heard of this section of the Great Wall until my driver mentioned it when I said I didn’t want any crowds. It did not disappoint. It’s a restored section so most of what you’re walking on and the dam in the area was built in the 70s but the scenery and surrounding mountains are stunning. The climb to the highest tower is STEEP but he views are worth it. There are places to stay in the area and you can carry on hiking past the restored section to unrestored sections as well.
