Grand Army Plaza
This commanding plaza serves as the main entrance way to Brooklyn’s sprawling Prospect Park and it’s home to a impressive lineup of monuments and statues. The imposing Soldier and Sailor’s arch is the main sight here and constitutes an impressive architectural achievement of historical significance, although sadly, you can no longer climb to the top. If you are in the area around Hanukkah, check out the lighting of the world’s largest menorah which takes place here and don’t miss your chance to give the human dreidels a spin!
