Reichenberg Castle once started out as a farmhouse in the 1500's. It developed into a chateau during Habsburg rule and over time came under redevelopments and a fire. Much of what you witness today harkens back to Romanticism in the mid nineteenth century. The manicured hedge rows and strong Viennese influences set it apart from Plaza shopping mall on the other side of the road.
