Sychrov Castle
Built by Czech kings in the 15th century, bought by French aristocrats and then taken back by the Czechoslovakian government after WWII; Sychrov castle has a fair bit of history to get your teeth into.
Where it lacks in unique surroundings, it makes up for in its grounds. Ponds, courtyards and fountains are just some attributes of Sychrov that are worth spending time near. On a temperate day you can idle away an afternoon with a loved one or spend a hour taking a guided tour through the many lavish rooms on display.
Photography is allowed in parts and the tour guide speaks some English.
