Could there be a better way to end a Garden Route trip than seeing the Big Five? Addo Elephant Park near Port Elizabeth is the third biggest safari park in the country. It was built to bring back the elephant population that was lost due to hunting and poaching. Not only did the founders do an excellent job in that, but they also conserved the population of many other animals. The park is now home to approximately 500 elephants, as well as the other members of the Big Five, zebra, meerkat and cheetah. You can either self -drive or join the guided tours.
