Fiona Davies's experience in Oatley
Shiprock Reserve
Shiprock is located at the mouth of the Hacking River and is plagued by hard currents and awful visibility - except at dive time – high tide! Then, it becomes a paradise for miniature marine life, plus the 130 fish species counted here so-far. If you love nudibranchs, Shiprock is your spot, but the most sought-after sighting is the elusive pineapplefish. Looking like a fluorescent yellow pinecone with eyes, they hide beneath ledges usually in pairs. #scubadiving #scuba #dive #diving #wildlife
