The huge opera and ballet theater of Astana is located between Khan Shatyr mall and the Lovers Park. The program is interesting, depending of the season, you might be able to watch local artists performing traditional kazakh music, international operas, ballets staged by international directors and dancers. They also offer kid's sessions some afternoons to introduce theater to children. The prices are really low even for the best seats (maximum 15 dollars but it starts around 1-2 dollars).
