Battery Park
Venturing down to the very southern tip of Manhattan, being in Battery Park is an instant reminder of the history of this island. This was the entry point for immigrants arriving in the city for much of its history, and this park offers views of, and ferries to, the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. Despite its historical significance and tranquility, the Financial District is rarely too busy. It's worth taking a wander around the area to see the many historical government buildings in the neighborhood before heading back into the center of the city. #history #architecture #park #nyc #financialdistrict
