In the district of Phong Dien, just outside Can Tho city, lies this bustling monastery. When we turned up, girls in pretty dresses were striking poses beside prayer halls and in forecourts. This was one of my first impressions of Vietnam after recently arriving in on a flight. With so much going on among the clusters of passers-by and chitter-chatter, the atmospheric environment could have easily beguiled you into thinking you were anywhere but a religious temple.
