The Rattlebone Inn is your quintessential English Wiltshire pub experience, especially when you walk through the bar area into the restaurant. Low beams, brick fireplace and sash windows all add to its traditional feel. Positioned on the main road running through Sherston it's extremely hard to miss this place on any visit here. We rocked up for their Sunday Roasts which easily fitted the bill for a rainy day, and tantalised our palates. Without messing around with their starters we dived straight into a three meat roast of pork, chicken and beef. The portion size was perfect, not at all heavy and far from stingy. Cooked to a T the meats were succulent, flavoursome and worked extremely well with the extra helping of thick gravy and delicately prepared roasted potatoes. I'd like to return but this time for their a la carte. In mean what better place to dine in England than that of an English pub, for English food in a classic English village.
