Finca Altozano
I was told Finca Altozano is known to use fresh local ingredients and their prices are good. I was excited to find out. I had the Montepulicano, Sangiovese blend by LA Cetta, a local vineyard, which was only $95 pesos or less than $5 a glass!!! This wine paired perfectly with my lunch. I savored the meaty, flavorful and tender beef cheek tacos. The pickled onions on top brought tradition to the meal and the tartness pulled the flavors of the fat. The roasted corn on the cob with butter, chipotle, lime and parmesan cheese, was perfectly crisp and spicy. I pretty much devoured both cobs in 2 seconds flat! I really liked this open air restaurant and with the number of dogs wondering around it felt like home and adds a lot of charm to this Baja delight. #wine #baja #restaurants
