Fern Canyon! Amazing stop right on the coast in far Northern California amongst the old growth redwood forests. It's a detour off 101 (about 8 miles each way on gravel), but then only a quarter mile hike into this incredible rivine (originally made by gold miners) - where the ferns have taken over.
