The Old Town bridge (Staromeijski) is a symbol of merging Europe and was completed in 2004. The less than 100 metre length bridge enables sightseers an opportunity to see two very different sides of effectively two joined towns in a flash. Once you've navigated your way through built up Zgorzelec of concrete blocks of flats and kiosks an hour by foot lands you in luscious, green fields and pretty, Polish detached houses. #free
