In 1956 the government conglomerated all the well-known Beijing snack stores and open the flagship shop on Huguosi Snack Street. According to their website, the store contains over 100 different kinds of Beijing snacks with mung bean cake, red bean and rice rolls, miancha (savoury porridge), flaky sesame pastries, date cakes, and hawthorn jellies among the most popular.
