Located on a corner of Timişoara's most colourful square, St. George's 18th century, baroque style Cathedral stands proud. Piața Unirii in which this cathedral lies, is also the setting of another revered 18th century church. The cathedral is renowned for organ recitals, owing to the fact that the acoustics inside are superb. Whilst not having had the opportunity to go inside, seeing it contribute to a gamut of colours around the square sufficed. St George's was certainly one of the few religious buildings in Timişoara I could stop and admire for sometime in comfort. It entailed both sinking a homemade lemonade in partial view of the pretty belfries and later, ensconcing myself on the fluffy, lawn opposite. #cathedral #baroque #architecture
