One of the best signposted lands for hikes and Vesec Udoli is no different. The small strip of forest overshadowed by a 60 kilometre ridge to the south should not be overlooked. You can glance into the Jizera mountains to the north and Ještěd-Kozákov Ridge in a head turn. Skirting along the top section of the valley we were showered with flying ants before dropping down to the valley floor only to be faced with bathers and swimmers in one of the lakes just out of town. Being just 2 kilometres from the centre of Liberec you can jump on the number 13, 24 or 26 bus that gets you pretty close.
