Radnice Sklipek has been a functioning cellar for beer and wine for well over 100 years. It is located in a basement under the Town Hall and was in operation since even before the hall had administrative status. The pub/restaurant does everything to keep the character of the old premises. The windows hold stories of life during its early existence and were made from craft guilds during the construction of the town hall. It's one of the first places I often bring visitors who are new to Liberec. Owing to its long established presence of Svijany and traditional food, I've ranked this in the top ten places to dine in town. It was the first branded restaurant by Svijany and offers over half a dozen types of light beer of varying strengths. Since the beer first became a brewery in 1564 Svijany has passed through various ownerships. It has become a well known brand in Czech Republic and one of my personal favorites. #lunch #dinner #food #architecture
