William's, Nailsworth
It was a zesty lunch at William's Kitchen in Nailsworth. We started with the bowl of gazpacho and fish soup which amounted to a reasonable £12.50 for the two. Other delights range from skate, turbot, hake and cod mainly caught from the Cornish coastline. The Salmon fished from the North Sea. There is a lot of retirement money in these parts consequently giving establishments a reason to up the costs. The soups were light and piquant and not overly salty which I've found to be a common pitfall when preparing seafood soups. The bright, white shop floor on entering tempt customers to purchase something from the delicatessen before leaving. The fish pies, creamy chicken liver pâtés and organic produce make it almost a compulsory stop off on any visit to Nailsworth. In addition to William's Food Hall the business also supplies Calcot Hotel and Spa with food which is one of the local retreats in the south of the Cotswolds. Given its Bib Gourmand accolade you can rest assured you'd be getting fish fit enough for people with high expectations and fat wallets! #restaurants #free-wifi #coffee
