One of the so-called Poor Man's Galapagos, Islas Ballestas was a treat to see, especially at a price of 35 soles from Paracas. There's an additional 10 soles for the park fee and 3 soles for the port fee. There are several birds you'll see including the Peruvian Boobies, cormorants, gulls, penguins, and pelicans. I felt like some of the large rock islands probably had a million birds. Of course you'll see sea lions. There is also the Paracas Candelbra geoglyph which you see on the way. It takes 30 minutes to get to the islands (more like large rocks) by speedboat from Paracas. We spent about 90 minutes touring around.
