With its post-apocalyptic theme, Apocalypse Brew Works has one of the most original concepts of all the brewery options in the Louisville area. The taproom is nicknamed the Fallout Shelter and their slogan is “Drink Beer Til the End.” They are certainly ready for the zombie apocalypse with their solar-heated water and use of recycled materials. The taproom patio looks a little like a jail yard but is family friendly with a jumbo connect four and other games. This location can be a little tricky to find which may be why Apocalypse is such a well kept secret. Beware of the strange hours though, this brewery is only open Friday-Sunday.
