Horse Guards Parade
This ceremony, also called the Punishment Parade, is well over 100 years old and stems back to the time of the late Queen Victoria. It came about when sentries got drunk after returning their horses to the stables and as a punishment were required to perform a ceremony for those standing sentry before their duty everyday for the next 100 years at 4pm. Having passed this exact time the Queen holds its tradition making a trip here to Central London as authentic as you can possibly get. It's totally free and inspite of the crowds who are initially agog at all the commotion you can get some prized shot of guards dismounting Her Majesty's blacks. #free #history
