This marvelous art museum, with its love-it-or-hate-it (I loved it) architecture reminiscent of a spaceship from a trashy 1950’s sci-fi flick, is one of Maastricht’s main attractions. Works range from the old masters to contemporary pieces and special exhibitions are set up in the building’s dome. It’s a nice stroll along the river to get there and the gift shop is absolutely worth a visit on your way out.
