If you want to avoid the crowds of downtown Hangzhou and seek some city walks alongside a body of water then look no further than Jinshahu Park. A metro station with the same name serves the area, making it an easyish hop from the lights and action of the city’s core. It’s here you can spot small groups of dama, often middle-aged women, for Guangchang Wu, moving in sync to catchy pop tracks.The concept of Guangchang Wu blends exercise, socializing and entertainment in China’s urban spaces. Whilst you can still see them, it seems to be a diminishing trend nationally.
