Vall d'Incles
One of the most accessible trail heads from Andorra la Vella by public transport is the route through the Incles Valley. It is also very pretty. Buses every 30 minutes to and from the centre of the capital shuttle up and down the main road leading to the county of Canillo. This where the route begins for some splendid hikes.
The area is surrounded by rugged peaks over 2500 metres, punctuated with pines and shrubs. A small river extends through the valley before the route leads to a couple of pristine lakes over the French border. We picnicked at the shore of one without seeing anyone around. The route is easy for those wanting a wild and rural experience of the Andorran Pyrenees mountains.
