Robberg Nature Reserve
Imagine: fisherman's shack, bare necessities, crashing waves, tranquility, isolation, easy access, untouched nature and you may as well be describing The Fountain Shack on Robberg Nature Reserve. The 8 sleeper (bunk beds mind you) wooden cottage has recently been upgraded with solar power and a solar geezer but still maintains its rustic charm. It's nestled on the rocks only a few meters away from the waves crashing on the sandstone rock formations. After a swim in the sea, a run around the Peninsula and a barbecue, you can enjoy the sunset from the deck overlooking the tombola of sand connecting a small rocky island to the Peninsula. This is definitely one of my favourite places in the world and a must see for anyone who plan to visit South Africa.
