The Butrint National Park located just 5 kilometres from Corfu (as the crow flies) lies at the foot of a lagoon and covers a wide range of flora and fauna. Mammals such as the red fox, wild boar and golden jackal as well as three species of dolphin are just a some examples of what can be found within the park. The three vegetation zones offer an array of diversity which will not only tantalise history buffs but keep botanists and naturalists amused no end. It gets pretty remote down here and besides a few sheep herders and spattering of tourists you may very well be in your own. #photography #hiking
