On Sunday, you can find a farmers market in the town center of Dimitrov grad. Here, local farmers and artisans bring out their products to sell for cash. I recommend getting dried red peppers, ground pepper, honey, rakiya, and maybe a wooden cutting board. You can also find souvenirs, soap, fur, and socks. You can totally negotiate if you'd like to lower the price. Most things are pretty cheap. A long string of red peppers would cost you $10-15. Those make for great souvenirs.
