The Shirahige Falls are at the edge of Shirogane, a small hot springs resort in Daisetsuzan National Park. Water from an underground river flows out through gaps in the rock, resembling a white beard, or shirahige in Japanese. The best view of the falls is from the bridge over the Biei river, with a view of the Daisetsuzan mountains in the background. After seeing the falls, visiting one of the hot spring baths in the village is very relaxing. #biei #waterfalls #views
