Like with many castles it has a long standing history dating back to the fourteenth century. The castle in fact is a kingly castle having passed through the hands of King Ottokar II, Charles IV and George of Podebrady. The courtyard is free to enter whilst the inside is usually off limits besides a small museum insides it’s walls.
