Wan Chai Wet Market
Hong Kong’s traditional wet markets are like curio shops and they are some great spots to take a glimpse into the local lifestyle. Fresh poultry dangles at store-fronts, baskets of fruits are displayed on the streets, while fresh seafood swim around in their individual tanks. There are also specialty stores that sell a dozen types of eggs or wild herbs, believed to cure all types of sicknesses. The open-air market in the border of Wan Chai and Causeway Bay is one of the busiest on the Hong Kong Island, frequented by locals daily during early afternoon for the freshest ingredients and cheap prices. #hongkong #food #wetmarket #market #groceries #bargains #history #free
