Liebieg Town
The buildings in this little nook of Liberec haven't changed their original purpose since their early construction at the start of the twentieth century. They once housed the local workers of the textile industry, something Liberec is historically renowned for. It's in an inconspicuous location behind a series of windy streets but can be reached in a 10 minute walk from the centre of town. I moseyed down one Saturday afternoon after most of the shops had shut, allowing for a quiet slot in order to greet the square in some tranquility. The mini town was purpose built in order to work in harmony with the surrounding countryside. It gives one the impression you are in another centre away from the main throughfare of town. Considering this factor you could easily think a divided community once existed within the compounds of an even larger town, noted for its concentrated number of factories over the ages. #textiles #architecture #history
