I'm so glad Joseph Strauss, the designer of the #goldengatebridge redesigned the supports of the Golden Gate Bridge to save the Fort Point. The original plan was remove this pre-Civil War error fort. It is quite a contrast with the masonry fort and the Art Deco bridge.
