Cave Hill Cemetery
Most wouldn't think to come here, but if you love art, mystic vibes & history this is a beautiful space to get lost in. Located in the original Highlands neighborhood, this 296-acre nationally recognized arboretum is more than your average burial ground. (Muhammad Ali is buried here among countless greats) You can drive through this majestic land but opt to walk at least a portion of it to absorb a sea of hidden symbolic images. Maps are given at the entrance and be sure to look for the massive ginkgo tree rumored to be two centuries old and the unmarked forest of bamboo towards the middle of these sacred grounds. The artwork found throughout can easily become a writer’s muse.
