Trosky Castle
Perched on two extinct, basalt volcano plugs lie two imposing towers - Baba (Old Woman) and Panna (Virgin) - which make up Trosky Castle. The fetching surroundings constituting Cesky Raj translated as Czech Paradise, mean that you can fasten your cycling helmet or rucksack and head off into a portfolio of greens for a spot of castle hopping. There are at least half a dozen others in the region to reconnoitre.
Entrance, for adults, to the castle costs 90 CZK (approximately 3 GBP). Times may vary but during April trekkers can enter anytime from 9am to 4pm at weekends, whilst weekdays the castle is closed.
