The whimbrel in my view is a very photogenic bird. No matter what the backdrop, they make for a great photo regardless of ones photography skills. The beak is ultra long; perfect for probing for invertebrates such as small crabs in the soft mud. Whilst it is not as colourful as some other birds in the region, the beak really gives it a redeeming feature for admiring. #whimbrel #views #beak
