Bright lights, magnetic buildings and a renovation since its reputation as a Soviet backwater, Batumi never fails to woo first timers. It paints a very different picture from the rest of Georgia and would merit a visit on any adventure seekers itinerary. I was given a colourful map at the tourist information desk which wouldn't look indifferent from a glossy guide to a Walt Disney amusement park. The buildings are eye-catching and show off some bolt colours among their gravity defying angles. An upside down house acting as a restaurant, a replica of the Colosseum in Rome and perhaps the chicest McDonald's building you've ever set eyes on - may I present, Batumi. #dinner #fine-dining #food #free-wifi
