Charyn Canyon National Park
Roughly 100 kilometers from the Chinese border in the southern steppe of Kazakhstan lies Charyn Canyon. It's dubbed 'The Valley of Castles' owing to their craggy contours resembling crenellations and turrets. The valley runs over 90 kilometres along the Charyn River and is a picture in the moving sunlight. Some compare it to The Grand Canyon for its beauty and multi-colored rock. The difference is of course the scale.
