Newburyport, MA is a fantastic location for a summer vacation because it has so many things to offer! The waterfront and harbour is beautiful, the beaches of Hampton and Salisbury are a close drive away and you are directly on the train line into Salem and Boston. There is tons of history and culture in Newburyport and many great restaurants and bars. Examples: The Grog is great for live music; brick & ash is great food and a more modern vibe; the thirsty Whale is a more traditional pub. If you’re in Newburyport at the end of July make sure to check out Yankee homecoming events. They will have plenty of live music and acts in the waterfront park (pictured above)! The Newburyport farmers market at the Tannery is also a fun Sunday morning (9am-1pm)!
