Hoppers Soho
Hoppers boasts carefully prepared appam (Indian pancakes) with a handful of curry accompaniments. The restaurant serves food akin to street food from Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka and makes for a cheaper alternative from the one Michelin star sister restaurants, Gymkana and Trishna.
The restaurant is snug and if sitting at the bar be prepared to have busy yet attentive waiters and waitresses brushing past you.
I chose the hopper with okra and plantain. The flavours were rich and given the subtle taste of the hopper, the combination of both worked well.
Expect to fork out £15 for a light meal. With drinks and extras on top prices will easily reach £35 a head.
