Regional Gallery in Liberec
The National Art Gallery has an eclectic mix of contemporary and period art from the Czech Republic. Being on the most picturesque street in town there could be no better location to place this attraction.
It once housed the local swimming pool and there is still evidence of how it could have looked before its deterioration at the turn of the century. The glass floor in the room behind the lobby replaces the very spot the pool was located in order to resemble the surface of the water.
Entrance on Thursdays is free and the four floors will require at least two hours to see and absorb their content properly.
There are a few commentaries in English.
Check out the hanging dragons skin on the wall of the second floor!
Opening times: 10am - 5pm; Tuesday to Sunday (until 7pm on Thursdays). Closed on Mondays.
Location: Masarykova 723/14, 460 01 Liberec, The Czech Republic
