Whenever I'm in NYC, I make a special trip to this restaurant. Down a sketchy alleyway, and across from one of the worst restaurants in the city, the Chinatown Joe's Shanghai is a must -- especially if you like great food, and a 99% chance of running into Brooklyn-based artists and musicians (a regular haunt for DJ's like Baauer and RL Grime). The crispy beef is good, but definitely go for the pork soup dumplings.
