Hong Kong Park
The Hong Kong Park is much like New York’s Central Park. Located at the center of Hong Kong Island, the area features an aviary, colonial buildings, a miniature zoo and Chinese- style resting pavilions. The park is a slice of peace and nature in the buzzing heart of this urban metropolis. It’s not so much a tourist attraction, but rather a gathering and social place for locals. In the mornings, elder men will hang around the marble tables around the park and play a few games of Chinese chess. Others will play ‘Pai Gau’, a Chinese card game that is marked by black cards and red and white dots. The Hong Kong Park is also home to the oldest surviving teapot housed in a former residence of a British Commander in the 1800s. #hongkong #park #todo #free #attraction #architecture #nature #zoo
