Whites is all about fish from the moment you walk pass the display of freshly caught seafood at the entrance. The service is very polite and the waitresses bend over backwards to ensure clientèle are well looked after and clued up with the intricacies of the menu. The mussel chowder was closer to tasty than simply passable. This dish was thick, almost resembling a broth given the additions of mussels and diced potatoes laid on top. The scampi made for a filling main and was served with chips, which were perhaps the best I'd tasted in a very long time. Maybe it was due to their door wedge sizes and carefully monitored cooking time which avoided the tendency of being overly crisp or congealed at the bottom of a chip tray for hours.
