The initial construction of the Grand Canal goes back over 500 years BC. The statues at Zhuangyuan Jidi are a testament to the might and labour involved in its construction over the centuries. They can be seen straddling Santa Rd, opposite Fanlihu Park. The walk along the river is a peaceful alternative to busy periods in the park opposite. #statues #photography #history #free
