A giant tree in the courtyard and ivy running up the walls of this heuriger ooze plenty of character and charm. I was fortunate enough to be taken to this non-touristy establishment positioned in district 19 of Vienna. It's there you can walk through narrow roads - once marking an area outside of Vienna - and see a quieter pace of the capital. First up, chanterelle goulash and Austrian dumpling. The sauce was zesty and thick enough to stand on the back of a spoon. Being a heuriger I should have opted for a local wine but an Ottakringer took my fancy. It was a perfect accompaniment for the goulash and being draught with temperatures hitting 30 that day, nothing could have quenched my thirst as much. #wine #lunch #fine-dining #snack #free-wifi
