Jiaxing is one of the most southern cities of China where the Grand Canal starts and ends. As a result, it's is blessed with an abundance of parks and water. Whilst by Chinese standards Jiaxing is small - just over one million inhabitants - taking in the sights and sounds will require a bit of time. The parks in the centre are an ideal respite from the traffic and bicycle horns from Jiaxing's main traffic arteries.
