Where to Hike and See Wildlife in Patagonia
Patagonia, the region of land in southern Argentina and Chile holds many breathtaking vistas. The area can be bleak and windswept with nothing to see but bare brown land for hundreds of kilometres and the odd Guanaco or Rhea. But there are spots that are beautiful. Lots of trekking trails will take you to glaciers, lakes and mountains. There are also opportunities to see whales, dolphins, sea lions, Southern Elephant seals, Magellanic and King Penguins. Armadillo, Mara and Grey Fox can all be seen, along with Condor, Flamengo and Turkey Vultures. Puma have even been spotted in the carpark at Las Torres Hotel in National Park Torres Del Paine.
