Spring in Yellowstone National Park
Our Nations first national park is still a really wild place. Its high elevations mean cold temps and lot of snow so the park mostly shuts down. Snow pack lingers well into June, but the animals know how to thrive in this very unique swath of intact ecosystem. Check road conditions and be aware that many parts of the park might be closed to vehicles until late May (biking access may be allowed).
